Deep within the old heartland of Georgia is Atkinson County.  Within this community is the unincorporated City of Axson. In 1858, a group of Christians near Axson established the Mt Zion Baptist Church and built a sanctuary. Inside this old building is the home of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and the Church still exists today.

Mt Zion is a congregation of people from all walks of life. We have small business owners, corporate managers, teachers, administrators, a principal, a county comissioner, bus drivers, truck drivers, farmers, mechanics, salesmen, carpenters, secretaries, painters, skilled tradesmen, and retired people. This diversity of experiences makes Mt Zion a great place to Worship Jesus Christ.

Is God real? Does God care? What is God doing today? Can I know God personally? Dress casually, come listen to teaching and preaching, then make up your own mind based upon what the Bible teaches.
